I love rifftrax, but why couldn’t you guys have some that are free of charge? That way, ppl would be more in cline to buy
The timeline scrubbing and forward/reverse controls aren’t as user-friendly as some other video apps when making big jumps and finding your place (for instance, if you have to interrupt viewing and come back later), but they are pretty well-suited for fine-tuning the sync. I can usually get it perfect within a few minutes. The auto-sync just spins its wheels for like half the movie on my Pixel phones (3 XL and 6 Pro) but like I said, manual tuning isn’t a big problem.
Flawless! Took me a minute or two to figure out how to work the autosync (really, more me not understanding how it works rather than any fault to the app). But once it got going, worked flawlessly. The audio was smooth, and switching the app to an ear bud with the TV audio being separate made for a pretty immersive experience. The app is great. As for the content, my first movie was Starship Troopers. I laughed my a– off! Writing and delivery were just… perfect.
Because the syncing is dependent on the audio of the movie the sync reliability for starting the movie is so-so. I recommend starting the audio the old fashioned way and let the app adjust when it gets a good lock. Also if you have to pause the video, stop the riff audio, rewind the movie 30 seconds and play.

RiffTrax! Such a great service with such great comedians. If you own Riffs, this is the app for you, however, the reason for the 2 star review is that, even when signed into my RiffTrax account, there is no way to utilize my RiffTrax Friends service, which I paid for an entire year of. I wish I had known of this limitation before I signed up for a year of the subscription service.
Need to support friends memberships.
Why does Rifftrax Friends work only on the website and not on the app? And why is the chromecast option down on the Rifftrax website? I’m paying money for this?
