I have contacted support numerous times but always get the same empty reply.. Bla bla bla someone will contact you shortly.. Terrible way to treat a law abiding customer of over three years. Revolut, monzo, Starling are all a much better option.
Account blocked for a month with no reason. No sign of being unblocked. They think they can do as they please as they are a Belgian online bank. Do not use this bank at any cost. Rather use n26 if you are in Germany, or pay 5 eur per month for a real bank, which obeys German law. Will be pursuing legal action to get back my account balance and close this account.
Is the best new Bank in UK, the Monese believed in me after the pandemic and there wasn’t trouble to open account.
Just as other people here, I got locked out after changing my phone. DO NOT RELY on this wannabe bank! Edit: even the reviews are answered by bots.
DO NOT USE THIS MONESE MOBILE if you require professional customer service, they cannot even process a transaction from Switzerland to Spain. Customer services is completely automated or they choose not to respond. Account close. I highly recommend going with a professional banking service.
Thieves and Crooks made in UK. Monese does not anything about banking. It has no banking license whatsoever. Monese is a B2B partner of PPS EU (group EdenRed) which sells banking solutions (like Virgin Money for instance). As a result, Monese has no competences in support, complaints, or legal aspects of banking. Monese just focuses on generous affiliation progras with nano influencer to grow their victim portfolio. Because yes, some day Monese will close your account without notice, game over.
Used this app for a few years, it was always great. Now there are bugs with transfers from pots so when I pull money out of my savings it sometimes vanishes and I have no access until I message support (which really is not easy anymore!). This has got me stuck at fuel stations while trying to fill up and most recently I could not make an online purchase, could not use my card in the shop, or withdraw cash, even though my balance was plenty. Totally unacceptable with no easy access to support.

This is a terrible bank. I have had money stolen from the account through unauthorised transfers. When I told this to customer support I was told that there was no recourse and I would not get my money back unless the vendor who stole my money affirmed the transfer was unauthorised? What a ridiculous and stupid policy!? When i tried to change banks, Monese refused my new bank (HSBC) permission to take over my standing orders. Transfering money to friends can be delayed by days. Awful!
